MISSION
Kingdom Academy is a Christian School and a Ministry
of Kingdom Ministries. The school is registered as
an independent school with the Free State Department
of Education. We follow the core curriculum but see
the Lordship of Christ and a Biblical perspective as
central in all our learning areas.
In our mission to facilitate the development of the
whole person, we see the training of the intellect
as critical and endeavour to provide an environment
that is balanced and stimulating where young people
can:
Develop their individual gifts to their full
potentialLearn to think in a Christ like manner
Cultivate an independent work ethic that will equip
them to influence the world of work and study.
The school has always placed great emphasis on
skills and values, along with the ability to apply
knowledge. We are consequently open to new methods
of learning and assessment, including an emphasis on
outcomes as well as content, being careful not to
compromise high academic standards in the process.
Evaluation is done through regular test series and
examinations, as well as continuous assessment as
described by the National Curriculum Statement.
Personal attention is ensured in classes that have a
low educator learner ratio – our norm is a maximum
of 24 per class. In the foundation phase, classes
are served by both an educator and an assistant.

Spiritual Development
As a school, we acknowledge that raising children
and training them for life is primarily the
responsibility of the parent but we also believe
that optimal development occurs when the household
of faith, which includes the family and education,
work together for the wellbeing of the child.
The school exists to train Christ-like leaders who
will serve nations. We aim at providing a Christian
environment in which all educators are born again
and offer a Biblical perspective on their subjects.
We have an active discipleship programme which takes
place formally in weekly discipleship classes and
informally as opportunities present.
Weekly chapel services are a highlight of the school
programme. During these times learners are
encouraged in the disciplines of worship, the
teaching of the Word, in ministering one to another
and to develop compassion for the world.

Outreach & Inreach
As a school we aim to have each learner in the
school involved in some form of outreach.
Each grade is encouraged to link up with an
organisation of their choice and develop a
longstanding relationship with them on an ongoing
basis.
We also realise that the habit of caring and serving
begins ‘at home’ – it is with this in mind that we
plan to develop an inreach programme.
Sport
Sport provides invaluable opportunities for
discipleship as well as relational and emotional
development.
Sport presently on offer at the school includes:
Hockey / Athletics / Soccer / Cricket / Tennis /
Netball.
Cricket coaching is done by a professional coach. We
compete against most schools in the Lejweleputswa
area. Through the past years we have had successful
sport achievers competing nationally and
internationally in athletics and tennis.
Additional avenues of expression such as golf are
available at an extra cost. These options may vary
from time to time.
Social & Cultural
Development
In keeping with our aim of developing well-rounded
students, we offer a wide variety of social and
cultural activities that caters for the diverse
needs.
